Lyndell Faye DeJarnatt (Skelton)

kelton) Lyndell Faye DeJarnatt (Skelton), 82, of Cassville passed away in her home surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, October 16, 2025, after a short battle with brain cancer.

She was born August 5, 1943, in Cassville, Mo., to Junior Warren and Georgia Faye (Dell) Skelton, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her only daughter, Teresa Lynne O’Neill of Cassville, MO, and one brother, Donald Lee Skelton of Berryville, Ark.

Survivors include her husband James (Jim) DeJarnatt of Cassville, Mo.; one brother, Billy Warren Skelton of Butterfield, Mo.; stepson, Nathan DeJarnatt of Puerto Rico; stepson, Benjamin DeJarnatt, his wife, Anja, and their daughters Norah and Zoe of Berlin, Germany.; nephew Toby Levi Skelton, his wife Amanda, their children Carson Ledgerwood, Nicholas, Courtney, and Cody Skelton of Springfield, Mo.; a nephew Jacob Skelton and his son Eli of Kansas City, Mo.; a nephew Jack Skelton and his wife Joy of Huntsville, Ark.; three sisters-in-law, Deborah Skelton of Cassville, Mo., Tess Elliott and her husband Larry of Cassville, Mo., and Donna Johnson and her husband Johnny of Stillwell, Oklah.; and bonus family Dalton Jett, his wife Stormie, and their children Cole, Halee, and Cam Jett of Washburn, Mo.

Jim and Lyndell were regulars in the town of Cassville, and she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Cassville.

She worked for Wal-Mart from 1981 until her retirement in 2000.
