5 get CFO scholarships

Five graduates of Barry County high schools have received scholarships administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

• Langston Mitchell, a Cassville High graduate and daughter of Tony Mitchell and Leah Thompson, received the Southwest Missouri Cattlemen’s Scholarship. She will study animal science at Oklahoma State University.

• Elly Ramaeker, a Cassville High graduate and daughter of Scott and Michelle Ramaeker, received the JD Riddle Educational Trust and Little Joe Trust scholarships. She will study elementary education at Crowder College.

• Abbie Clark, a Southwest High graduate and daughter of Cici and Luke Clark, received the Dr. Mary Newman Scholarship. She will study psychology at the University of Arkansas.

• Jesse Eaton, an Exeter High graduate and son of Lance and Tracy Eaton, received the Little Joe Trust Scholarship. He will study HVAC at Ozarks Technical Community College.

• Sarah Holenda, a Wheaton High graduate and daughter of Shanda and Jeff Holenda, received the Olin J. Brattin and Little Joe Trust scholarships. She will study radiography at the University of Missouri.

These scholarships were established by generous donors to benefit graduating seniors of Cassville, Exeter, Southwest and Wheaton high schools.

The CFO and its regional affiliate foundations — including the Cassville Community Foundation — hold more than 450 scholarship funds, established by generous donors to help students from across central and southern Missouri achieve their goals of higher education.
