Man violates ex parte immediately after jail release

A Golden man released from the Barry County jail at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday was arrested at 3:25 p.m. and booked back into the facility at 4:23 p.m. after allegedly violating an ex parte order upon release.

Earnnie Camp, born 1954, of Golden, is charged with first-degree burglary, misdemeanor violation of a protection order and second-degree property damage.

According to a probable cause statement filed by Cpl. C. Bray, with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, he was dispatched to Golden regarding a verbal domestic disturbance and ex parte violation, locating Camp on the property upon arrival.

Bray said further investigation determined Camp had been released from jail on Saturday and has criminal charges for third- and fourth-degree domestic assault for alleged domestic incidents on July 18. Two victims in that case were granted ex parte orders against Camp because of the incident.

Bray said Camp knowingly went to the property where the victims reside, and one victim was at the home at the time. Camp allegedly entered the residence, took a kitchen knife and attempted to enter the second victim’s bedroom by taking the door knob off the door.

The second victim was not in the residence at the time and did not consent to Camp entering the bedroom.

Bray said Camp also allegedly admitted to him he was served the ex parte and was specifically told not to go to the residence, and he knew he was not supposed to be at the residence.

Bray added in the statement that Camp does not have a valid driver’s license, so his means of transportation is unknown. He also said the victims fear their safety because Camp is ‘unpredictable, has anger issues and feels as if he is mentally unstable due to recent interactions.’

Danny Boyd said Camp had posted a $7,500 bond on Saturday at 11:05 a.m.

Camp is being held in the Barry County jail on a cash-only bond of $50,000. A court date had yet to be determined as of Monday afternoon.
