Cassville Education Fund grants awarded

Four grants totaling $6,073 from the Cassville Education Fund were awarded to teachers on May 10 at the Cassville school campus.

Summer School Director Kendale Ellis received $2,818 for admission and tour fees for a summer school field trip to Dogwood Canyon.

Cassville Middle School received $1,500 towards the purchase of digital cameras for the yearbook and multimedia classes. Cassville High School Math Teacher Jill Poulson was awarded $1,090 for graphing calculators.

Cheryl Dubuque, Cassville High School special education teacher, was presented $665 to buy cameras and photo supplies for her classes.

Established in 2010 by community volunteers, the Cassville Education Fund is a permanent endowment fund benefiting Cassville school district academic programs.

Grants from the fund are awarded annually.

More than $35,000 in grants has been awarded to Cassville teachers in the past 14 years.
