Past Experience: Former Purdy Reading Coach, Insurance Agent, Treasurer of Purdy First Baptist Church

Education: Graduate of Purdy High School, Crowder College

1. Why do you want to be on the school board, and what qualifications support your candidacy?

I would like to be elected to Purdy School Board to enhance the quality of education provided while influencing policies and decisions that affect students, teachers, and our school district.

I Meet all state requirements to run for school board with extensive knowledge of the foundational structure of board meetings.

2. If elected, what do you see as your top priorities?

Education and School Safety will always be my top priorities.  In order for students to receive the best education there must be positive teamwork between board members, administration and staff.  I believe we can do more when it comes to our student’s safety.  We are fortunate to live in a safe community, but we must be proactive.

3. What will be your approach to managing the district’s finances?

If elected to the school board, as a new candidate, I will effectively evaluate the budget and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

4. Are there specific areas of the budget you like to cut, or any areas you would fund more?

I would like to see our current projects completed and keep an open mind on any needed improvements to our school district.

5. What is the most important factor in graduating successful students from Purdy?

As a parent, I want to ensure our budget is being well spent, making a positive difference in student lives.

6. What (if any) capital projects would you like to pursue if elected?

I feel the most important factor in graduating successful students is making educational opportunities available so they can be excited about their future career.
