Caption this! I was at the 2024 MSHSAA Wrestling Championships at Mizzou Arena last week, taking in all the action, the best of which can turn any coach into a walking, talking emoji. Here, we see the Fortners, father-son coaching duo Chris and Nathan, giving their best impressions of “astonished” and “surprised” as their sophomore Riley James snatches victory from the jaws of defeat in the semifinals. Their reaction to James’ perfectly executed spladle looks like my kids when someone takes the last dinner roll on Thanksgiving!
