Zone 4 hosting Fall Flea Market

Zone 4 Mini Golf and More, located at 16007 Hwy. 76 in Cassville, will host a Fall Flea Market on Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will have vendors selling crafts, primitives, antiques, collectibles and more. Grilled food, concessions and games will also be available.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program today

Harvick Farms is hosting a Senior Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program today (Wednesday) at the Cassville Senior Center, located at 1111 Fair Street, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those who sign up will learn about nutrition and get to use their benefits the same day. The program provides benefits to low-income seniors ages 60-and-over, eligible to receive $50 annually. Benefits can be exchanged for eligible foods at a farmers market or roadside stand with an authorized farmer, such as Harvick Farms.

Bennett/Fly Reunion set for Oct. 1

The Bennett/Fly Reunion will be held on Oct. 1 at “The Gathering Place” in Purdy, with the building opening at 11 a.m. Dinner is covered dish and will start at 12:15-12:30 p.m. Anyone who has a musical instrument should bring it for music after the meal. Lawrence and Barry County Democrats meeting

The regular monthly meeting of the Lawrence and Barry County Democrats will be held on Sept. 28 at the Angus Branch Steakhouse, located at 114 Chapel Drive in Monett. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. Those wishing to eat should arrive by 5:45 p.m., with each responsible for their own meal. Stephen Weber, Candidate for the Missouri Senate in Boone County, has been invited to be the speaker. All area Democrats and like-minded friends are invited.

Senior Center to host Bazaar

The Cassville Senior Center is seeking arts and crafts vendors for a Holiday Craft Bazaar, scheduled for Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Center, located at 1111 Fair St. in Cassville. The cost is $25 per table, and proceeds benefit the Center. Table availability is limited, and people may register at the Cassville Senior Center and pay in person or mail the registration and payment to the Center. Truman Day BBQ on Saturday

The Barry and Lawrence County Democrats will host its Annual Truman Day BBQ at the farm home of Jim and Pat Kabell on Saturday, Sept. 16. Lunch will be starting at 11:30 a.m. and will continue until around 1 p.m. and will feature pulled pork, burgers, brats, side dishes and cookies for dessert. There will be music, an auction for pie and cake and other items. Lunch tickets are $20. The Kabell farm is located at 4094 Hwy. UU in Miller. Missouri’s Democratic candidate for Governor in 2024, Crystal Quade, will be in attendance, as well as Lucas Kunce, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in 2024. Both will be speaking beginning around 12:30-12:45 p.m. Other Statewide and local candidates for Missouri State Representative and State Senate will be in attendance as well. OFO rehearsals underway

The Ozark Festival Orchestra is entering its 44th season, hosting rehearsals each Tuesday at the Monett High School Performing Arts Center. Area musicians are welcome to participate. Positions are available, depending on the instruments. Players must be able to read scores, maintain pace and follow the conductor. Rehearsals are at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesdays weekly. Cassville Farmers’ Market open twice per week

The Cassville Farmers’ Market is open for the season, running twice a week on Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m. across from Security Bank and Saturdays on the Cassville Square from 8 a.m. to noon.
