SKITS auditions open for ‘Mission Possible’

Special to the Cassville Democrat The Shell Knob in the Spotlight (SKITS) community theater group has announced auditions for the spring play, “Mission Possible.”

Auditions will be held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 11 at the Shell Knob Community Senior Center. This hilarious play continues the tradition of classic comedy presentations with a funny and captivating spoof on favorite spies of television and film.

Engaging characters such as agent Maxwell Sharpe, the girl from A.U.N.T, agent 98.6 and of course the debonaire James Blonde are just a few of 21 roles that are needed for this ambitiously funny in-spy-ering stage production. In addition to some of the major roles, there are numerous smaller and intermediate roles that are available to virtually every actor from the newbie to the more experienced performer.

“As always, SKITS is pleased to have new people try out for our presentations,” said Craig Burford, SKITS media liaison. “And, with so many roles available, we encourage everyone to come to our auditions. Experience is not necessary, just the desire to have fun, performing for the enjoyment of our audience. So do not hesitate! Your mission, should you undertake it, is to make the polar plunge and come to the auditions.”

Auditions for the SKITS spring play “Mission Possible” are 10 a.m. on Feb. 11 at the Shell Knob Senior Center, located at 2801 YY 15 in Shell Knob. Show dates are April 28-30. For more information, or to audition at a different time, people may call Director Cade Keeton at 903-818-5318.
