Purdy woman injured in crash

A Purdy woman was injured on Sunday in a wreck at 3:55 p.m. on Business 37, south of Crittenden Street in Purdy.

According to a Missouri State HIghway Patrol report, Jacqueline Cooper, 87, of Purdy, was driving a 2014 Jeep Cherokee northbound when she fell asleep and her vehicle struck a parked, northbound- facing 2004 GMC Sierra pickup.

Cooper suffered minor injuires and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

She was wearing a safety device, and the Jeep sustained extensive damage.

The GMC, which was unoccupied at the time of the crash, sustained moderate damage.
