Summer at the Y

While the Cassville YMCA is open 24/7 all year long, the summer time is packed full of events and adventures for all ages.

The regular classes at the Cassville YMCA will continue as scheduled.

Sports

“We just finished our spring soccer season and will start again this fall,” Jessica Smith, Cassville YMCA office manager said. “We usually start taking sign-ups in August for fall soccer and flag football.”

Swim Lessons

Swim lessons are offered June 6-16 and July 11-21

“People can sign up at the Cassville YMCA,” Smith said.

Safety around water

This is a program for summer school kids who have just completed first grade.

Day Camp

Summer day camp run June 20 through Aug. 19 for youth entering grades kindergarten through fifth. Hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day.

Cost is $80 for family members per week, and $110 for non-members per week. Breakfast and afternoon snack provided.

“Drop-off is from 7-8:30 a.m., and pick-up is from 4-5:30 p.m., at the Cassville YMCA location,” Smith said. “Trip admissions, morning breakfast and afternoon snacks are included, but please send lunch with your child.”

40 for $40

“We are looking for 40 people to contribute $40 to sponsor all fishing poles and equipment need for summer day camp kids to fish at Roaring River this summer,” Smith said. “Of the 40 participants, three will be drawn to receive Y gear.”
