Shirley Lorene Smith, also lovingly known as “Nanny” and “Slim,” 84,of Cassville, Mo., passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. She was born September 26, 1940, in Hazel Valley, Ark., the daughter of Lawrence and Pauline Garnett (Evans) Napier-Hammon, who preceded her in death.

Esther Marie Cole, 93, of Battlefield, Mo. passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at her home. She was born March 24, 1931, in South Plainfield, N.J., the daughter of John and Louise (Orrico) Scarano, who preceded her in death.

Marjorie Delores Roe, 96, passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Sarcoxie Nursing Center in Sarcoxie, Mo. She was born April 4, 1928, in Cassville, Mo., to Thomas Jefferson and Ova Luvica (Patton) Luney, who preceded her in death.
