Man wielding knife, threatening arson arrested
38-year-old being held on $75K cash bond A Cassville man has been charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor after allegedly assaulting multiple people at a home in Cassville and threatening to commit arson. Russell Clancy, 38, of Cassville, is charged with first-degree burglary, second- degree assault, armed criminal action and misdemeanor fourth-degree assault.
Deadline extended for public comments
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has extended the deadline for public comments from March 18 to April 21 for proposed permits for the land-application of industrial sludge in Barry County, and parts of McDonald County, by waste-hauling companies Synagro Central, LLC, and HydroAg Environmental, LLC. Getting the lead out
Cassville awards bid to begin water line inventory The city of Cassville has awarded a contact to begin a pipe inventory, aiming to identify and replace any lead pipes within the city. The inventory project — which involves teamwork on federal, state and local levels — has been awarded to All Clear Pumping and Sewer, based in Centertown.
