Champions crowned at Trivia Night
The Wesley Wizards, a team representing the Cassville United Methodist Church, dominated Trivia Night on March 17 by winning the overall competition, as well as the “Smarty Pants” award for most trivia questions answered correctly.
Eagles to echo at Carnegie Hall
Yard sales, can collecting, photos with Santa, Super Bowl Squares, hat days, jean days, walnut picking, sock selling, soup dinners, bake sales and raffles. These are some fundraising opportunities the Purdy Eagle Echoes have completed, and more are on the way.
Purdy amending 3 ordinances
Purdy city officials are rethinking a number of ordinances that will suit the community better. First, local leaders are taking a close look at its livestock ordinance, which currently allows cattle operations only on property that was used for livestock before the city passed its current ordinance.
Historical education meeting set for Friday
A presentation about “Keetsville to Washburn and Roller Ridge to Seligman” and the “Heart of the Burn Zone” will be given on Friday at the Southwest High School cafeteria. Glenn Erwin, of the Washburn area, is organizing the meeting, which he hopes will become a historical society of sorts.

A decade of LEGO in Eagle Rock
Special to the Cassville Democrat On March 5, 2013, a new club was born. Founders Kara Fletcher and Jessie Rex started the LEGO Club with the backing of the Eagle Rock Community Association and the Eagle Rock Friends of the Library.
