Pet of the Week
Meet Busta Rhymes, the Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week. Busta originally came to the Haven in May after being found with an injured leg. He was treated at a local vet, then came to the Haven to find his forever home. Busta is a beautiful boy who is believed to be a German Shepherd mix and is estimated to be a little over a year old. He’s extremely smart and playful and will easily learn anything a new owner would like to teach him. His very favorite activity is playing tennis.

Meet Bella Grace, the Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week. Bella is a beautiful girl who the Haven believes is just under 2-1/2 years old. She’s a good-sized pup who has the perfect amount of energy for nearly any family.

Jan. 10, 1973 Don McCaulley of Shell Knob has purchased equipment of Staples Construction Company and will operate the business, in addition to building, under the Doo-Rite Construction Company.

Through the years, Dec. 28
Wooten Roof wind damage — Twisting winds that hit Ridgley just after midnight the first Friday of 1972 left this gapping hole in the roof of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Wooten of Ridgley. Looking over the damage are Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Laney, nearby residents, whose property escaped damage. The Wooten home once served the Ridgley community as a school.
