Jet ski capsizes southeast of Eagle Rock

A Cassville man drowned on Saturday at 5:17 p.m. near Table Rock Lake at Eagle Rock Marina, one mile southeast of Eagle Rock.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 58-year-old male, of Cassville, was driving a 1991 Yamaha watercraft southbound when he made a sharp right turn and lost balance on the vessel, causing it to capsize. The man went under the water and did not resurface, the report states.

The man was recovered and identified on Sunday. He was not wearing a safety device, and the watercraft sustained minor damage.

Next of kin has been notified. This is the 4th boating fatality of 2026 for Troop D of the Patrol.
