Jeanetta Josephine Brown
Jeanetta Josephine Brown, 90, of Exeter, Mo., passed away at her home on June 26, 2026 surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 9, 1935 in Davis City, Iowa to George Oscar and Inez Josephine (Hogue) Dunbar, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Billy Ray Brown; her son-in-law, David Griffin; her grandson, Bobby Holland; great-great-granddaughter, Iris Marina; five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her son, Larry Ray Brown of Exeter, Mo.; her daughters, Teresa Griffin of Bashor, Kan., Carolyn Holland and her husband Larry of Pahrump, Nev., Linda Rajean Marlowe and her husband Phillip of Cassville, Mo., Sandra Shockley and her husband Ron of Exeter, Mo., Laura Hollingsworth of Exeter, Mo., and Ruby Ellen Brown of Springfield, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, with another one on the way and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory.
She graduated from Cassville High School in Cassville, Mo. with the Class of 1953. She worked in the motor repair department at FASCO Industries in Cassville until her retirement in 1995. She also owned and operated the Skelly Station in Butterfield, Mo., and Bates Corner in Cassville, Mo. She was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cassville.
A memorial graveside service honoring Jeanetta will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Jamey Grey will conduct the service.
