Brynn Weldy, wrestler in the Wildcat Takedown Club, wrapped up her season by placing first in the state in the 10U 80-pound girls division. She pinned all four of her opponents with a total mat time of just under 6 minutes, and not a single point was scored on her during the entire tournament. Aleah Williams, Hazel Hunter and Emmelynn Brewer have also completed their seasons. Each of them showed incredible improvement this year and fought hard to earn their spot at the state tournament. The Club’s boys faced some very tough competition this season, but they all put in the work to earn their trip to state, whether they placed or not, and they accomplished exactly that, a Club press release said. Justus Greek, Jace Ross, Steven Hall Jr., Brantley Stubblefield, Austin Quirk and Isaiah Horton have finished their season and are already looking forward to coming back stronger next year.
