Dario Perez, 76, of Purdy, Missouri passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, December 15, 2025.

He was born January 2, 1949, in Villa Insurgentes, Zacatecas, Mexico – son of Camilo Perez and Alejandrina Arroyo. 

Survivors include his wife Maria Carolina Serrano Orozco; his sons, Chuy Perez and Jose Perez of Springfield, Mo., and his daughter, M. Guadalupe Perez and her husband Diego Salas of Mt. Vernon, Mo.

Dario, known as Yayo, moved to Purdy, Mo., shortly after he and Maria were married. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church.

He was a hardworking man with many jobs throughout his lifetime. 

A Funeral Mass was held December 19, 2025 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Father Bill Hodgson conducted the services. Burial was at Purdy Cemetery in Purdy, Mo.
