Fall Smash hosts 45 players

The Cassville High School Beta Club hosted its third annual Fall Smash Pickleball Tournament on Saturday at the Cassville City Park, with 45 players participating in this year’s event.

The tournament brings together community members for a day of activity and support for local students. Funds raised from the event will help send Cassville Beta Club members to state and national Beta conventions, where they will compete in academic, service, and leadership-based events.

The Beta Club expressed appreciation to the tournament sponsors, including Veregy, CS Bank, Selkirk Pickleball and Engage Pickleball. Thanks to these sponsors, the club was able to provide several prizes through drawings held during the tournament. Prizes included Selkirk and Engage pickleballs, Selkirk gift cards, Selkirk backpacks, performance hats, and a Selkirk LUXX pickleball paddle valued at $250.

“We are grateful for the strong participation and community support,” a Beta Club press release said. “Events like this help provide meaningful opportunities for our students while also bringing people together for a fun and active day.”

The Cassville High School Beta Club plans to continue the Fall Smash tradition next year.
