Southwest High School recently held its 16th annual Pink Out event and raised $3,000 for two students battling ailments. The students, Payton Neukam, a high schooler suffering from bone cancer, and Haven Holmes, a middle schooler battling leukemia, were the recipients. A bake sale, loose change drive, a serving contest, pass the hat and general donations throughout the district all helped raise funds. The annual event is organized by Coaches Mandy Henry and Steve Voyak and the Lady Trojans. Southwest volleyball players pictured with the donations include: Olivia Hnem, Emma Outhouse, Missy Freeman, Addison Parker, Holley Montondo, Paula Callison, Emily Brooks, Lexie Walker, Taytum Cotton and Abi Hnem.
