Joe Allen Fisher, 86, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at his home.

He was born September 8, 1936, in Cassville, Mo. the son of Clarence Raymond and Lillie May (Burk) Fisher, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death was one son, Michael; three grandsons, Dustin, Daniel and Allen; one brother, Bill Fisher and one sister, Wilma Hutchens.

Survivors include his life partner of 25 years, Sophia Bickford of Cassville, Mo.; one son, David Fisher of Cassville, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Childers and her husband Craig of Grove, Okla. and Donna Jones and her husband Jimmy of Gateway, Ark.; one sister, Martha Craig of Fairland, Okla.; two stepsons, Doug Hinds and his wife Tennille of Cassville, Mo. and Glenn Hinds of Cassville, MO.; two stepdaughters, Grantalea “Sissy” Schroeder and her partner Ronnie of Cassville, Mo. and Calista Powers and her partner Darin of Grove, Okla.; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He grew up and attended school in Cassville, Mo., graduating from Cassville High School. He served in the United States Air Force. Upon returning home he was employed by G & R and later by R & M Industries in Purdy, Mo. from where he retired as a machinist and machinist mechanic.

Services were held Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Rod Bowen and Donnie Stumpff conducted the services. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, Mo.

Contributions may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospitals for Children in memory of Joe.
