Cecil Edward “Bill” Burdiss

Cecil Edward “Bill” Burdiss, of Cassville, Mo. passed away from cancer on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at his home.

He was born January 12, 1962 in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Cecil Kenneth and Velma Sue (Poor) Burdiss, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death were two sons, Billy Jagger and Bobby Burdiss; and one brother, Kenny Burdiss.

Survivors include his wife,  Virginia Diane “Ginger” Sibley; three sons, Shawn Burdiss of Cassville, Mo., Chris Burdiss of Farmington, Mo., and Josh Leary of Cassville, Mo.; three sisters, Angel Perry of Diamond, Mo., LaRhonda Gibson of Oklah., and Julie McCool of Oklah.; seven grandchildren with two great grandchildren on the way.

He grew up and attended school in Shell Knob, Mo.. He worked for many years as a concrete laborer. He was also employed by Regal Rexnord Climate Solutions in Cassville and later helped Chris Yockey with mowing. 

Graveside services were held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral home in Cassville. Holly Rivera conducted the service.
