Health Department appoints new administrator
Meyer moves into new role, aims to build on foundation in place
The Barry County Health Department has announced the appointment of Brianna Meyer as the new Administrator, effective April 13.

Meyer steps into the role following a period of transition and brings with her a strong commitment to public health, organizational leadership, and continued service to the residents of Barry County, a Department press release said.
“Having previously served within the department, she offers valuable institutional knowledge and a clear understanding of the community’s needs,” the release said.
Meyer said she is honored to accept the administrator position.
“Our team is deeply committed to protecting and improving the health of our community,” she said. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place while continuing to enhance services, strengthen partnerships and support our staff.”
The Barry County Health Department plays a vital role in promoting public health through a wide range of services, including preventative care, environmental health, WIC services and community education. Under Meyer’s leadership, the department will continue its focus on accessibility, quality care, and responsive public health initiatives, the release said..
The Board of Trustees expressed confidence in Meyer’s leadership and vision for the department’s future.
“Brianna has demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and the ability to lead during a time of change,” a Board statement said. “We are confident in her ability to guide the department forward and continue serving the citizens of Barry County with excellence.”
