Frank D. Love

Frank D. Love, 74, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026 at his home.

He was born October 19, 1951 in Perryton, Texas, the son of Harold Edward and Doris (Dunsworth) Love, who preceded him in death. 

Also preceding him in death was his sister, Sandra.

Survivors include his wife Cherie Spohn; his sons, Rick Love of Cassville, Mo. and Tom Love of Great Falls, Mont.; daughter, Christy Blankenship and husband Jason of Cassville, Mo.; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He attended school in Olympic, Wash. graduating from Olympic High School. He later attended Shasta College in Redding, Calif., earning a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology. He proudly served in the United States Navy, the United States Army, and the National Guard, with service during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was employed as a mechanic at the Shasta Hydro Power Plant at Shasta Dam in Shasta, Calif., where he worked until his retirement in 2011. Following his retirement, he and Cherie moved to Cassville.

He attended Corinth Baptist Church.

Private graveside services with military honors will be held at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Ray Black will conduct the service.

Contributions may be made to the J.T. Blankenship Memorial Scholarship Fund at Freedom Bank of Southern Mo. in memory of Frank.
