Daniel “Danny” Looney

Daniel “Danny” Looney, 81, of Butterfield, Mo. passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.
He was born on July 20, 1944, in Cassville, Mo., the son of Ivan and Claire (Intessimone) Looney, who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Dorothy Utter.
Survivors include his son, Robert Les Foster and wife Linda; daughter, Tracy Tucker and husband Rod; sisters, Dianna Martin and Carla Intessimone; sisters-in-law, Diana Eddy and Christine Utter; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; special caregivers, Tony and Sherry Intessimone and Tim Intessimone as well as a host of other family and friends.
He grew up and attended school in Washburn, graduating from Southwest High School with the Class of 1963. He was employed by Justin Boot in Cassville, Mo. for more than 30 years.
He and his wife Dorothy also owned and operated Papa Joe’s Diner in Purdy, Mo., for over five years. After his retirement he continued his pursuit of higher education by attending Crowder College in Neosho, Mo.
For many years, he traveled performing with his own band, sharing his passion for music with others. He was a member of Body of Christ Ministries in Wheaton.
Memorial services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Body of Christ Ministries in Wheaton, Mo. Pastor Gene Robinson will conduct the services. Arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
