Trivia Night champs crowned

Threatening weather failed to dampen the enthusiasm of the six teams participating in the 14th Annual Trivia Night fundraiser on March 6.

The team representing Ellis, Cupps, Herrin & Schwartz won both the overall competition and the “Smarty Pants” award for most trivia questions answered correctly. The lively event raised nearly $1,300 for the Cassville Education Fund, according to a press release.
Groups of co-workers, friends, classmates, family members and church members wracked their brains for the answers to 60 trivia questions over the course of the evening. Minute-to-win-it games enlivened the event with team representatives competing to earn extra points.
Sponsors of the event include: Angel Shorter and Company, Cassville Chamber of Commerce, Cassville Democrat, Cassville R-IV School District, Ellis Cupps Herrin and Schwartz, Freedom Bank, the Kime Family, Security Bank, State Farm Insurance, the United Methodist Church and Willis Insurance.
Emcee Judge Bob Foulke announced four rounds of trivia questions covering a wide range of subjects from history and sports to geography and animals. Nearly 60 people attended the event.
Proceeds from Trivia Night benefit the Cassville Education Fund, a permanent endowment fund for the educational needs of Cassville Schools.
