Mahlon Dennis Huston, 84, of Rocky Comfort, Mo. passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

He was born September 8, 1941, in Wyman, Iowa the son of Harold Leslie and Helen (See) Huston, who preceded him in death. 

Also preceding him in death was his wife, Marge Ellison; son, Christopher Huston and brothers, Melvin Huston and Gary Huston.

Survivors include his sons, Ned Huston and wife Gayla of Goodman, Mo. and Billy McCully and wife Janice of Stella, Mo.; daughters, Christie Bowers and partner Randy Sattler of Iowa and Cathy Canfield and husband Steve of Springdale, Ark.; brother, Kirk Huston and wife Michelle of Pella, Iowa; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren with one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.

He attended school in Winfield, Iowa, graduating from Winfield High School. In 1977, he made Rocky Comfort his home after moving from Iowa. He owned and operated Huston and Sons Trucking for many years before retiring. He was a member of Living Word Mission Church in Simco. 

Graveside services were held Monday, February 23, 2026 at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Mo., under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Reverend Billy Joe Gentry conducted the services.
