Arkansas teen dies in crash
Vehicle goes off Hwy. 76, hits tree

A Rogers, Ark., teenager died on Saturday in a wreck at 10:25 a.m. on Highway 76, four miles east of Cassville.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 24-year-old female, of Rogers, Ark., was driving a 2009 Honda Accord eastbound when her vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. A passenger in the vehicle, a 17-year-old female, of Rogers, Ark., was pronounced dead on the scene by Coroner Gary Swearingen at 11 a.m. Her body was transported to Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
Both individuals were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle was totaled.
This is the 10th fatal crash of the year for Troop D of the Patrol, which covers 18 counties in southwest Missouri, including Barry.
