Jack Nickols 

Jack Nickols formally of Cassville Missouri passed away November 30th, 2025 following a brief illness.

He was born January 20, 1944 in Purdy, Missouri. He attended SMSU and received a degree in education. After a brief career in teaching he had a diverse work history having held many jobs over the years including MFA sales, owner of a local Sears catalog store, concessionaire of Roaring River State Park for 13 years, owner of Backcountry Outfitters in Springfield, and most recently ending his career as a successful real estate agent in Cassville. Since retiring and moving to the Springfield area he has been very active in the Sac River Cowboy Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Loren and Blanche Nickols of Purdy, a brother Charles Nickols of Oklahoma, a sister Nancy Thomas of Purdy, and a son Jason Nickols of Springfield. He is survived by his wife Bonita Nickols of Springfield, a son Jeff Nickols of Strafford and his wife Rebecca and their children Lydia Nickols, Zach and Grace Shappley and his first great granddaughter Alice Shappley.

He is also survived by his son Drew Nickols of Washburn and his wife Andrea and their children Owyn and Garrett. Jack was a kind, God loving man. Always ready to help and lend a hand. He will be greatly missed by friends, family and all that knew him.

Jack had his memorial service at the Cowboy Church, on December 5, 2025.
