Luella “Lue” Dunbar

Luella “Lue” Dunbar, 73, of Cassville, passed away at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville, Mo., on Saturday October 11th, 2025, after a long illness of Alzheimer’s and Parkinsons. She was the daughter of Alonzo and Lucinda (Potter)Wallace, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers John and Ray and Rosetta (Rose) Bowman and Rose (Midge) Berry.

Survivors include her husband Jerry Dunbar; children, Shannon Farris of Cassville; Shawna Mackey of Springfield; Cindy Smith, and Lloyd Mackey, and Becky Snook, of Osborne, Kan.; Casey Campbell of Springfield; Kenny Dunbar of Springfield; Kellie Ellis of Butterfield;19 grand kids and 26 great grandkids.

She was born on February 17, 1952, in Clever, Mo.

She worked as a CNA and Home Health Aide for Oxford Health for 15 years where she met Jerry Dunbar, her husband was a Paramedic for Mercy.

In the last 15 years she supported Jerry in Trucking, Car Sales and finally with Cassville Cab where she drove Cab for several years and in the final 2 years riding every day with Jerry.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Mo.. Pastor James Weaver will officiate the service, with a visitation scheduled two hours prior.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.
