Nadean LaVerne Davis

Nadean LaVerne Davis, age 85, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born December 13, 1939, in Bixby, Oklahoma the daughter of Claud and Dorothy (Douglas) Martin, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Valerie Hayden; grandsons, Nicholas M. Davis and Jaeger A. Hayden; sisters, LaVonne Martin, Marva Adamson, Patricia Woods and infant sister, Claudean Martin and an infant brother, Donald LeRoy Martin.

Surviving are her daughter, Kristie Preddy and husband Gary of Cassville, Missouri; brothers, Earl Martin and wife Pam of Shawnee, Kansas and Wayne Martin of Garland, Texas and three grandchildren, Michaela, Robert and Grant.

Nadean grew up and attended school in Bixby, Oklahoma graduating from Bixby High School. She later attended Muskogee School of Practical Nursing earning an LPN certificate. After moving to Cassville from Springfield in 1978 she worked at FASCO Industries as a welder for several years. Nadean loved to serve the community, she had a generous heart and was an Angel with Hospice Compassus. She was very involved with Fair Haven Children’s Home, volunteered at local nursing homes and could be seen around Cassville cleaning up the town. Known for her baking, Nadean’s cookies were a beloved treat among friends and local businesses alike. She was an avid reader, enjoyed watching Oklahoma Sooners football and fishing with her grandsons. Nadean will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Services was held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Mill Street Church of Christ in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Garret Akin and Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Burial will be at Horner Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Mill Street Church of Christ in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home, Cassville Pantry or Barry-Lawrence Regional Library in memory of Nadean.
