Leona “Willa Dean” Shrum, 94, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Cassville Health Care and Rehab in Cassville, Mo.

She was born March 7, 1931, in Ulysses, Kan., the daughter of Abie and Mary (Cooper) Shrum, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her brother, Leroy Shrum and sisters, Mildred Myers, Irene Harris, and Joann Robbins.

Surviving are her brother, Fred Shrum of Eugene, Ore.; sister, Sue Brown of Cassville, Mo. and several nieces and nephews.

She attended school in Butterfield, Mo., graduating from Butterfield High School. She was employed as a seamstress at several garment factories for many years. In her later years she was a librarian in Marionville, Mo., from where she retired. She was a member of Gunter Church.

Services were held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Nickle conducted the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Mo.
