Leonard Leon Lowe

Leonard Leon Lowe, 71, of Cassville, Missouri, quietly passed away in his home on June 10, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. A celebration of life is being planned and will be held at his home in the following weeks weather permitting.
Born in Wellington, Kansas on October 20, 1953, the family returned to Cassville in 1966. In 1971 he graduated from Cassville High School, where he had fostered friendships that would last his entire life. He spent many years in the construction industry, including several years working for Bud Lowe, building houses all over Barry County. In 2000 he went overseas to work for the oil industry where he worked on offshore oil rigs in Nigeria and Turkey. He had deep roots in Barry County and a huge extended family.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, (William) Herman Lowe and Wilma Gilley, and his brothers Dwayne, Bobby, and John. He leaves behind the love of his life, Deborah Skelton; his beloved daughter, Heidi Lowe, her husband Kevin Engle, and his granddaughter Jaiden Engle; as well as bonus children and grandchildren: Toby and Amanda (Sisney) Skelton, their children: Carson Ledgerwood, Nicholas, Courtney, and Cody Skelton; Jacob and Barbara Skelton, and their child Eli; as well as his siblings: Ronnie Lowe; Linda and Dwayne Crowell; Brenda and Randy Vaughn; Frankie and Lynette (Daughtery) Lowe; Patty and Bobby Ellison; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Leonard was well known and well loved by all those that knew him. He had big heart, a great sense of humor, and an easy smile behind that legendary mustache. He had an adventurous spirit, loved to explore new places, and had deep connection to the great outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and was always on the hunt for antique treasures and curiosities. Most of all he loved telling stories and spending time with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.
