Billy Van “Bill” Granger

Billy Van “Bill” Granger, 73, of Purdy, Mo., passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at his home.
He was born August 17, 1951 in Stella, Mo., the son of Dick and Wanda (Blevins) Granger. On November 16, 1984 in Miami, Oklahoma he was united in marriage to Linda Flaxbeard, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Kevin Granger of Purdy, Missouri; two daughters, Kathy Farmer of Fairview, Missouri and Michelle Farmer of Fairview, Missouri; two sisters, Scherry Divine and her husband Darrell of Stella, Missouri and Tammy Wecker and her husband Gerald of Pierce City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Leslie, Christopher, and Matthew and seven great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and four brothers, Danny Granger, Ricky Granger, Benny Granger, and Richard Granger.
Bill grew up in the Stella area and attended school at East Newton graduating from East Newton High School. For 40 years, he managed his dairy, poultry houses, and beef cattle operations.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025 at Macedonia Cemetery in Stella, Mo. under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Lee Beck conducted the services.
