Richard Leroy “Rick” Nelson, 69, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Cassville in Cassville, Mo.

He was born June 6, 1955, in Topeka, Kan., the son of Leroy and Olan Frances (Martin) Nelson, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his companion, Patricia Connor of Cassville, Mo.; son, Vince Nelson of Aurora, Mo.; brother, Daryl Nelson and his wife Vickie of Monett, Mo. and one granddaughter.

He attended school in Marionville, Mo., graduating from Marionville High School. He was employed by the Aurora Waste Water Treatment Plant in Aurora, Mo., as a manager for 11 years.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
