Sheila Harris/ sheilaharrisads@gmail.com Noelle Harmon, owner of Modern Peasant Embroidery and Bakery, shared information about her San Franciscostyle artisan sourdough bread at the Zone 4 Fall Flea Market in Cassville on Saturday. A native of California, Harmon said in Missouri, it’s hard to replicate the distinctive, tangy flavor of west coast sourdough that’s influenced there by the humidity in the sea air. She has enjoyed the learning process, though, and her customers say that her bread is the nearest they’ve found to California sourdough.
