Jennie Lee Smith

Jennie Lee Smith, age 66 of Cassville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.

She was born on November 20, 1957, in Sheridan, Wyoming, the daughter of Harold “Dean” and Sally (Erickson) Yeager. On September 6, 2009, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Kellard “Kelly” Smith, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Michael Satterfield, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas; three daughters, Amy McColloch of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Katie Bullinger of Wichita, Kansas, and Rachael Greenlee of Wichita, Kansas; her stepchildren, Kendall Smith of Mountain View, Arkansas, and Amy Schupbach of Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Morgan, Ethan, Natalie, Gabriel, Michael, Connor, and Clare, who brought joy to her days; two brothers, Bill Yeager of Rose Hill, Kansas, and Mike Yeager of Mustang, Oklahoma and her dog, Precious, who was a constant companion.

Jennie graduated from Rose Hill High School. After graduation, she embarked on a fulfilling career, dedicating many years to the Boeing Company in Wichita, Kansas, where she excelled as an AIW operations manager in sheet metal fabrication. Her leadership and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on her colleagues. Jennie was an exceptional cook, always eager to explore new recipes and share her culinary creations with loved ones.

She enjoyed cooking shows and photography, she captured the beauty of the world through her lens. Jennie also enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband, Kelly, and was a devoted fan of the Wichita State Shockers, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas City Chiefs. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Shell Knob.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Zeke Sayre will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks in memory of Jennie.
