A Shell Knob man was injured on June 22 in a wreck at 7:25 p.m. on Farm Road 1230, one mile west of Shell Knob.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Garrett Brixey, 29, of Shell Knob, was driving a 2007 Yamaha V-Star 650 westbound when his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Brixey suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle sustained extensive damage.
