Wrapping up the season at 8-20, Cassville Baseball Coach Simon Beeson said his squad showed great flashes this season as they laid a foundation for campaigns to come.

Frost finishes 4th in high jump in Class 2
Dylan Frost capped an incredible senior season at Southwest High School by placing tied for 4th with a leap of 1.83 meters in the high jump finals at the 100th running of the Class 2 State Track and Field Championship at Jefferson City High School.
Cassville vaulters take 12th
Cassville’s pair of pole vaulters competing in the Class 3 State Track and Field Championship matched one another, both taking 12th in their respective competitions.
Artherton shoots 165 at state
Cassville junior Kaleb Artherton enjoyed his first state golf championship experience last week, shooting a 165 over two days at Sedalia Country Club to finish in 63rd place among 96 competitors.

Black is back!
For the first time since 2021 — when the Lady Eagles won the Class 1 state championship — the Purdy softball team is headed to the Final Four.

Pole vaulters head to state
Two Cassville athletes will take part in the 2026 Class 3 Track and Field Championship Friday and Saturday, and both in the same event.

Southwest volleyball’s leader in kills and aces is taking her talents to Canton, as she has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Culver-Stockton College next fall.
