Tktroutman@cassville-democrat.com he Cassville football team wanted just a couple more minutes on the clock Friday, but time ran out in the middle of a comeback effort against Nevada, resulting in a 27-22 loss. Clay Weldy, Cassville football coach, said an inability to finish and Nevada’s ability to melt the clock were the biggest contributors to the result.
The Cassville cross country program hosted its annual Pink Out Invitational on Oct. 8 at the Cassville Aquatic Center Parkl, with 28 total schools participating in the high school and middle school divisions.
The Purdy volleyball team is getting into its groove. After a tough 1-6-1 start, and another 6-game skid at the end of September, the Lady Eagles are 3-2-2 in their last seven and gearing up for Class 2, District 11 competition.
