Almon Monroe Williams, Jr., 80, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Cox South, Hospital in Springfield. He was the son of Monroe and Maxine Holman Williams, of Cassville.
MYRA LEA CALLAWAY
Myra Lea Callaway, age 78, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born March 5, 1944, in Wheaton, Missouri, the daughter of Delmer “Doc” and Verna (Jones) Cantrell.

Michele “Morris” Hovland
Michele (Morris) Hovland was born Nov. 6, 1960, in Ventura, Calif., the daughter of Chuck and Carolyn (Williams) Morris. She attended Cassville High School. After graduating she attended SMSU/MSU obtaining a Bachelor of Arts, Master’s of Education, Master’s of Counseling and a Master’s of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Penn. She was united in marriage to Russell Melton who preceded her in death in 2001. In 2009, she was united in marriage to her current husband Chief Warrant Officer 3 (Ret) Darrell Hovland. They ran a farm in Jenkins, where they raised their beautiful daughter Charley.

BENNY LEROY “ROY” ROACH
Benny Leroy “Roy” Roach, 90, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was born in Estherville, Iowa, to Benny Thomas Roach and Ruth (Rogers) Roach. He was active in high school sports, and after graduation, joined the National Guard. He married in 1948, and they had five children. He was a heavy equipment operator.
