April Nicole Jones, 41, of Exeter, Mo. passed away Friday, April 10, 2026.

She was born August 13, 1984 in Blountstown, Fla., the daughter of James “Rabbit” and Gail Elizabeth (Desrosiers) Peters and Jim and Julie Hewitt. 

Preceding her in death was her mother, Gail Elizabeth Robinson; parents, Jim and Julie Hewitt and stepson, Kenneth Jones, II.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Jones; her father, James “Rabbit” Peters; sons, David Jones of Exeter, Mo. and Ryan Kubowicz of Colo.; daughters, Ruth Jones of Exeter, Mo. and Tabitha Hall and husband Caleb of Kerrville, Texas; brothers, Alan of Blountstown, Fla., Jamie Peters of Blountstown, Fla., and Joshua Peters of Blountstown, Fla,; sisters, Carrie Polanco of Rockport, Texas, Tina Whitehurst of Clarksville, Fla., Alisha Peters of Fla. and Layonni Keys of Houston, Texas, and four step grandchildren.

She was raised and attended school in Blountstown, Fla., and later made her home in the Exeter area for the past 17 years after moving from Texas. She worked for several years as a security guard. She was of the Christian faith.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 2, 2026 at American Legion Post 118 Memorial Park in Cassville, Mo.. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the service. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
