Lillian “Lil” Gaddis

Lillian “Lil” Gaddis of Shell Knob, Missouri on June 9, 1942, in Robinson, Illinois to Earl and Erma (Dennis) Murphy. Lillian passed away December 29, 2025, in Berryville at the age of 83.
She enjoyed reading, and her greatest passion was caring for others, especially the elderly. Lillian generously supported the children’s home in Mt. Vernon, a cause close to her heart. She was also a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Shell Knob, where her faith and community meant so much to her.
February 26, 1961, Lillian was united in marriage to Bob Gaddis; children Tammy Hoofman and husband David, Scott Gaddis and wife Kimber; grandchildren Kory Gaddis and wife Lindsey, Jessica Coats and husband Brian, Tyler Gaddis, Trey Gaddis and wife Maiya; great grandchildren Emma Ruth Gaddis, Oaklea Coats, Josiah Coats; along with several other relatives and friends.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Erma Murphy, brother Earl Murphy and Aunt Edith Standlee.
The Gaddis family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at The Blossoms at Berryville Rehab & Nursing Center and Mercy Hospital for their support and care during their time with Lillian.
Visitation will be 9:00 am, Friday, January 2, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Shell Knob, Missouri, funeral service will follow at 10:00 am, with Pastor Brian Coats. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church for the Children’s Home, PO Box 204, Shell Knob, Mo 65747. Arrangements are under the care of Shell Knob Funeral Home.
