Lady Wildcats compete in McDonald County tourney

Two Lady Wildcats brought home pre-Christmas gifts in the form of medals at the 2025 Lady Mustangs Christmas Clash.

Allison Deaver, at 110 pounds, earned the best placement of the day for Cassville, taking second place after falling to Warrensburg’s Kendra Oswald in 1:12. It was the second loss to Oswald on the day, as she pinned Deaver in round two in 2:31. In Deaver’s other four matches, she pinned each of her opponents in less than 2 minutes.

Also medaling was Analeigh Winchell at 155 pounds, taking third place. Winchell pinned each of her first three opponents before being pinned by Southeast Polk’s Skylar Slade in 39 seconds. However, Winchell bounced back in the bronze medal bout with a pin of Ste. Genevieve’s Aniston Cremer in 1:37.

Anna Vanderhoef rounded out the top-six finishers for Cassville, taking fourth place at 145 pounds. As a team, the Lady Wildcats finished 14th out of 20 total teams.
