Cassville High School recently attended the Marion C. Early Speech and Debate Tournament. There were 18 schools in attendance, and as a team, Cassville placed third overall in points to win third in team sweeps. A total of 18 events advanced into semifinals, and eight advanced into finals and placed in the top six. Awards were as follows: Kaid Williams, 6th in Program of Oral Interpretation; Kim Hang, 6th in in Dramatic Interpretation, 4th in Humorous Interpretation; David Rehbach, 5th in Radio Speaking, 4th in Extemporaneous Speaking; Mason Rillstone, 4th in Radio Speaking; Glandy Salas; 3rd in Original Oratory; and Ayla Roberts, 2nd in Original Oratory.
