Steve David Boyke, Jr., 73, of Exeter, Mo. passed away Friday, June 5, 2026 at his home.

He was born January 21, 1953 in Waukegan, Ill., the son of Steve David Boyke, Sr. and Gladys (Hatfield) Boyke, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his brother, Bill Brown and sister, Nancy Brown.

Survivors include his life partner, Jax Baker of Exeter, Mo.; daughters, Jean Hopkins and husband Mike of Sand Springs, Okla., Stacy Day and Husband Gary of Tulsa, Okla., Jennifer Center and husband Brian of Fayetteville, Ark. and Devin Boyke and fiancé Wayne Smith of Shawnee, Kan.; sister, Barbara Throsel of Hollywood, Calif.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He grew up and attended school in Waukegan, Ill., graduating from Waukegan East High School. He was employed as a cab driver in Chicago, Ill. for several years. After moving from Lake County, Ill. to Exeter in 1999 he drove a truck for Barry County Ready Mix. 

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville
