Loren “Lavon” Russell, 88, of Monett, Mo. passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at home.

He was born January 17, 1938, in Mineral Springs, Mo., the son of Calvin and Lora (Ennis) Russell, who preceded him in death. 

Also preceding him in death were his grandparents and brother, Calvin Russell, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Gage; his sons, Rick Russell and wife Becky of Verona, Mo. and Ted Russell and wife Minerva of Springdale, Ark.; daughters, Cindy Breazzeal and partner Donald of Cassville, Mo. and Vicky Russell and partner Jim of Golden, Mo.; brother, Doyle Russell of Monett, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

He grew up and attended school in Reeds Spring, Mo., graduating from Reeds Spring High School. His passions were farming, raising cattle and being a machinist.

Services were held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Nickle and Pastor Mike Tharp conducted the services. Burial was at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville, Mo.
