Jimmie Ward “Jim” Scritchfield

Jimmie Ward “Jim” Scritchfield, 82 of Cassville, Mo., passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at his home.

He was born in Granby, Mo. on June 7, 1943, the son of Harold and Mary (Burkhart) Scritchfield, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death was his brother, Mark Allen Scritchfield and first wife, Gladys (Oussani) Scritchfield.

Survivors include his wife Sharon Kay Winters; his sons, Mark Scritchfield and wife Beth of Lee’s Summit, Mo., John Scritchfield and wife Melissa of South Bradenton, Fla., and Timothy Scritchfield and wife Amy of Neosho, Mo.; daughter, Mary Scritchfield of Ozark, Mo.; brothers, Michael Scritchfield and wife Debbie of Derby, Kan., and Harold Scritchfield and wife Barbara of Derby, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, as well as our two grandchildren, that we raised as our own, and a host of friends and loved ones.

He attended school in Monterey, Calif., graduating from Monterey High School. He later attended Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., where he attained an associate degree in business. He was employed by The Clock Garden Restaurant in Monterey, Calif., as a chef for 25 years. He was the former music minister at Shell Knob First Baptist Church where he had been a member. He was a former member at Emmanual Baptist Church and was a current member of First Baptist Church in Cassville.

Services were held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Bob Gaddis conducted the services.
