New childcare center opening

A new state-licensed option for childcare is opening in Cassville.

Tiny Blessings Childcare Center, located at 10097 Farm Road 2160 in the former Southwest Family Dental office, is locally owned by Victoria Long.

‘We provide excellent care of your tiny blessings and prepare them with life long learning foundations through play exploration, educational discovery, healthy physical activity, and help in every milestone,’ she said.

The Center is less than half a mile from Crowder College’s Cassville campus and provides easy access to transit to Cassville schools and an easy commute for parents using Highway 37.

Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and a state subsidy will be available in June 2024. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided daily.

‘I’ve seen a big need for childcare in our community,’ Long said. ‘Most childcare providers have a long waiting list, so this gives our community another option. Our goal is for Tiny Blessings Childcare Center to offer one of the highest qualities of care within a Christian environment.’

Being state-licensed, all staff are trained in infant and adult CPR; ABC of safe sleep for infants; social-emotional motional learning with a conscious approach to discipline for childcare providers; making a difference; protecting health and keeping children safe; poison prevention and safety awareness; childcare transportation safety; and emergency preparedness.

‘Much more education will be done yearly,’ Long said. At our Center, we strive to create a safe and caring community. The curriculum we will use is ‘The Young and Beautiful.’ Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making and solve problems by working together handson. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens.’

Working with Long is Director Aubrey Antle, a 2022 graduate of Exeter High School and 2024 Crowder graduate.

‘Her degree is in Elementary Education,’ Long said. ‘She was been a para for Exeter in the 2023-2024 school year, and before that, she worked at a state daycare for a year and loved working with the kids.’

Cost at Tiny Blessings ranges from $130-$150 per week or $520-$600 per month, with subsidies available by application at childcare.mo.gov.
