Ward is waiting for someone to come take him home so he doesn’t have to spend another Christmas at the Haven. Ward has been in shelter 533 days. He is a gorgeous brindle Shepherd mix and a happy go lucky boy who is accustomed to leash walks, is crate trained, and likes other dogs, though he would do best in a home with older dogs or calm dogs. Ward would do well with some consistent potty training. There is nothing this boy won’t do for a treat. Although he isn’t a pup anymore, this boy has quite the playful side. His ideal family will be gentle with him. He recently spent time in a foster home and reportedly is super laid back. He also immediately bonded with a teenage female in the foster home. He made himself right at home in her room in fact! He would be best in a home with no little kids or cats. His estimated date of birth is May 5, 2016, and he is about 76 pounds. All the Haven’s pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.
