Jeff Tanksley: Rest in God’s love
God’s love expels all fear.
Going through storms isn’t easy, but it is something that all of us have experienced or will experience.
However, we don’t have to go through them alone and when we go through them we don’t have to fear. When we choose to rest in God’s love we are choosing to allow God’s love to work in our lives.
God’s love removes all fear. 1 John 4:18 says there is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is made perfect in love. Matthew 8:26 says, and He saith unto them, why are ye fearful, O ye little of faith?
Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
God’s love is unfailing.
God’s love is secure. There is nothing that can separate you from that.
When we rest in God’s love, we get to have faith that God is with us through it all. Not only is God with us but He cares.
He cares about how we are feeling and is there to give us peace as we go through it.
He says He will never leave you nor forsake you. When you’re feeling down, alone, just know if your put your faith and trust in Him He is faithful.
I love what Zephaniah 3:17 says, the Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
There’s no greater love than the love of our awesome mighty God. Isaiah 54:10 says, for the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, yet My steadfast love for you will not depart from you, My covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
So, abide in Him, in His love, in His arms, and experience His steadfast love and peace. Cast all your cares upon for He cares and loves you.
What a mighty God we serve.
